From the back cover
Man. You. Well. grew from a single moment, the word manual spoken slowly until three other words emerged. Not a question about function. A question about the person.
Are you well?
The Manual That Never Came described how a neurodivergent mind works. This book describes what it cost to carry one for fifty-five years without knowing what it was, through displacement, surgery, grief without a named event, masking, and the loneliness of being seen in fragments but missed as a whole.
It does not promise resolution. It offers accuracy instead.
What the book is
- Twenty-eight chapters across one continuous arc, organised under the structural conceit of the word manual parsed slowly into Man. You. Well.
- Five appendices: The Morning Protocol, The LIFE Diagnostic, The Share With Your People Letter, The Quarantine File, Where to Go From Here.
- Companion to The Manual That Never Came. The first book described the system. This one stays with the person inside it.
- 239 pages.
A note on the appendices
The appendices are the practical layer of the book, designed to be torn out and used. The Share With Your People Letter is a template for explaining what late-diagnosis autism is to the people closest to you, in language that does not turn you into a case study in your own life. The Quarantine File is what to keep on hand for the days when the system collapses. Where to Go From Here is a reading list, not a curriculum.

On the methodology
Man. You. Well. is the second book in The Manual Series, the readable shape of The Manual Method. The first book described the system. This one stays with the person. The series is open-ended; further volumes are in progress.
Read in order, or not
Man. You. Well. can be read on its own. Readers who want the architecture before the weather often start with The Manual That Never Came. Both routes work.
